An update for Word Soup has been submitted to Apple to address some minor issues that users have reported. Thanks very much to those that took the time to submit feedback to us through the proper channels.

If you find any issues, or have any feature requests, please tell us using the Support button on the App page in iTunes/App Store, as we are unable to read issues highlighted in reviews from App Stores in other countries – so we won’t be able to find and fix your issue if we aren’t aware of it!

Specifically addressed in this release :

  • Addressed an issue where dismissing the keyboard rather than pressing ‘Return’ does not submit the entered text.
  • Fixed a text scaling issue present on some retina devices.
  • Fixed a scenario where incorrect result could be returned based on a particular sequence of input events.
  • Tidied up clearing of word summary data when input field ‘clear’ button is pressed.
  • Made it clearer that filtering a search requires you to search the new parameters by hiding the Results button.
  • Made the web search button available on all dictionary definition pages, even where an in-app definition was found, by popular request!
